Right Around the Corner

There is a place I have driven past many times... it is a little, nondescript building with small signs, and one tiny billboard. This billboard is just two rows where plastic letters and numbers can be slid in to make customized messages. Here lives the Krema Nut Company.

There are no neon signs, bright colored banners or bunches of streamers and flags...

...there should be...

... the billboard reads "Try our PB&J"...

...it should say, "Our Peanut Butter Sandwiches will Change Your Life!"

We realized what we have been missing. This week, as we drove past this little white building, we said, as we had many times before, "I wonder what is so great about their PB&J?"

... and then Michael turned around...

Inside, the walls are covered in bags of nuts and treats all roasted, coated and made on site.

There is a small counter with a small menu of sandwiches. They take your order on the brown paper bag. Then they make your sandwich and it is delivered to you in this brown paper bag and it feels like a school lunch.
Do you see those names? Nutty Mallow, Orangecicle and Buckeye!

Inside the bag is a wax paper wrapped sandwich... for me it was thick wheat toast, with homemade chunky peanut butter (more chunks than butter), fresh bananas, and honey... still warm. The P.B. Nana...
They also have ice cream, pies, cookies, fudge... all have peanut (or some other nut) as the base and about half have chocolate as an accent.

Krema... we will be back... and we won't be alone!
