He seemed to grow overnight - just comparing him to his new little sister - he turned into a giant.  From the baby to the big brother was huge change.   Most times he is loving and really tries to be gentle.  Sometimes he gets tired - some of the angry and grumpy comes oozing out.

The end of last week was a busy one.
I worked Wednesday and Friday
and had a great visit with a best friend squished in the middle.

We have had some gorgeous weather.
Friday was 50° and - but really windy.

I was loading the monster in the car and discovered that she was carrying contraband.
 A purple ink pen snagged from the dining room table.

I put in my mouth because leggings do not have pockets
and I need two hands to secure an angry monster yelling about her lost pen.

The wind picked up... and SLAM.
Car door right to the side of the jaw.

I also felt a crack.
I cracked a tooth... pretty much in half.

A few hours of phone calls between my dentist and my OB,
I have a dentist appointment on Tuesday.

It feels okay...
as long as I don't eat, drink or try to lay down.
I have never been so excited to see the dentist in my life.

Hockey

The monster's first hockey game.
And after thinking about it - it was mine too.

It started late...
And she hadn't napped.
All of us, still sick with colds.
We thought about not going.

We would have missed out.
It went way better than we expected...
it was great.

She cheered and clapped...
the more they slammed into the walls the more she cheered.
The people around us liked the new little fan.

We had donuts at her bedtime.
Ran the stadium during breaks.
Danced to the music.
And cheered "Go, guys, Go!"

She always had something to say.

Her head was a warehouse of one or two liners.

I never understood most of them when I was younger.

 On the other hand, you have different fingers.

But anytime I hear one of her stand-by phrases...

I chuckle and think of her.

 Eva has found my love for clementines.  

I have been sharing them with her every morning.  I was getting ready to take a picture of her eating one, and she decided to give me some of hers right before I snapped the picture.

 I did get a little juice on my lens and some up my nose - but it was  well worth it.
