Traditions Swapped

This will be our 17th Christmas...

for Michael and I...

our 1st as a family.

We have a few traditions of our own.

 But for Eva...

as a family...

we wanted to step up our game.

Make and keep some new family traditions.

One was to get a real tree.

The thought of going and picking it out...

together, as a threesome, seemed so fun.

This year we thought she was too little to understand...

so we were going to wait until next year.

Fate had other plans:

That was the best we could do...

after plugging, unplugging, light and bulb checking...

(talking nicely to the tree and then I might have kicked it... twice)

So, we will start this year with a new tradition...

a real tree.

In the process, we will be breaking an old one.

I always decorated the tree the weekend after Thanksgiving.

New goal is December 1st.

So I guess it isn't a tradition added...

just a swap.

Nessa I love the idea of you kicking the Christmas Tree. Twice. Happy Holidays to you and your new little tradition participant!

WE've gotten a real tree ever since we've been married...I love them and can't wait to pick one out with Harper. She's obsessed with touching the fake one I put up in the basement.
