Mother nature did this...
and this...
pretty...
but not here...
I bumped the heat to 80 when the lights started to flicker.
I thought if I bumped the heat and found flashlights that the lights would stay on...
Nope... blackness... aside from the lightning.
Lighting??
Lighting??
Then I had to break out everyone of these...
It made our house smelled like...
baking pumpkin bread and apple pie at a beach house, next door to a laundry-mat
that is heavily landscaped with blooming lilac bushes and freshly cut grass.
I think Yankee should call it "Outage Menagerie"
The next morning we layered and bundled.
Cuddled and snuggled.
She napped and we read...
while I wore a scarf and Michael wore his skullie.
It got too cold and we headed to lunch and to the mall play land.
We packed a bag and made plans to head to a friends...
then the lights (and heat) came back on.
Michael and I joked that we would be terrible pioneers...
while eating Panera.
There is still a lingering odor of cinnamon dusted lilacs.

Wow! The shot you have in your thumbnail linky for LEM is stunning - those buds/blossoms perfectly encased in ice!! Great macro. Love your other shots as well!
