Family

Everyone has special friends.

Friends that you know will last.

Ones that have become forever friends...
because now they are family.

I am lucky to have a few.

But, sometimes you get really lucky.
When your husband's best friend marries someone great.
Then they have a adorable little girl.
Almost the same age as you own monster. 

I knew we would always be friends.

But over the last few years something even better has happened.
Instead of being just the nice wife of my hubby's best friend...
she has become my real friend...
a best friend...

a forever friend.

Now they are our forever family.
If we could, we would make it legal.

Kellie, Jason and Allie.

They live a few hours away.
We try to see them once a month or so.

Last weekend we got together.
We went to Sharon, Pennsylvania.

 Visited the original Quaker State...
ate horrible good food.

Went to a psychedelic Easter display.

There was a scene from the last supper...
Jesus had on blue eyeshadow.

We pumped to hear that they had a Sesame Street display...
until we got to it and saw Elmo being tortured.

It was a strange, strange place.

Eva kept closing her eyes.
Hiding her head and making that almost cry - might be a laugh sound.
I think seeing Elmo strung up, being shot with arrows was a little much.

Our forever family is visiting us this weekend...
I am pretty excited.
