A few nibbles from your cookie and I got a dirty look.
You wanted your apple.
Poor apple had no idea that it was going to get attacked.

You are so smart.
Maybe a little too smart.

Today, I laid you down for your nap.
You snuggled down into the crib...
and said night night.

A few minutes later you were still chatty.
I heard you talking and laughing.
Giggle giggle giggle.

Then I hear some shuffling...
and THUD.
I froze.

Then I hear tiny footsteps...
and I hear you clapping.
Giggle giggle giggle.

The monster had escaped.

and then, she {snapped}

oh, NO!!!! Say it isn't so! I am not ready for any escapees over here, so please tell your little monster not to give Charlie any ideas.

She did attack that apple. Oh no. My heart goes out to you sweet Nessa!

I don't blame her, she was probably scoping out more cookies. I love those striped fudge things.

Holy cow! Lizzy still hasn't escaped, but I am kind of dreading the day that she does!

OMG! was this the first time she climbed out of his crib?? My son started climbing out of his crib for good about a month ago. Sad to say, my nights are not so blissful anymore =*(

Great photos! LOVE the way you write about her ~ great tenderness and enough humor to keep you sane! I love the arms behind the head shot - almost like she was telling you to get ready for her next move! One of many, many milestones to be feared and enjoyed!

Yikes!! No escape plans yet over here... but we do need to transfer her to a bed soon anyway.

I LOVE those cookies :)

My littles show no signs of escape attempts, but they climb every other piece of furniture they can get to, so I'm just waiting for the day. Good luck!

Such a sweet story! Time for a toddler bed :)

Too funny that she prefers apples over cookies and claps for herself!!

I'm dreading this moment...although Harper sleeps on a cot at daycare so we may be okay. Eva looks so grown up. We need to get together soon.

Love how she is going to town on that apple. It doesn't stand a chance!

I feel for ya, Nessa. I know this next step scares the crap outta you! Maybe she'll be just like my Chloe Belle (who hasn't once gotten out of her toddler bed). A new journey lies ahead of you, my friend!
