Uh Oh

Eva's Picks

Guess who is hosting Thanksgiving?
Yep, this girl.

Facts:
There are 13 people invited.
We own 10 chairs.
I have never cooked a turkey.
I do not have room in my freezer for a turkey.
I do not have a pan big enough to put a whole turkey into to cook.

I drove by Boston Market today.
They had a sign - "Let us make your Thanksgiving Dinner!"
I wondered... I bet it is expensive.
Yep, really expensive.

But I am going to do it.
Make it myself that is...
I have a plan...
kinda.

In the event all else fails.
It looks like I can count on the monster...
at least for apples and hotdogs.

That girl always has my back.

you can totally do it, Nessa! as long as Mr Nessa is available to touch the raw bird, because that is gross.

Haha, this is great! Apples and hot dogs should totally suffice. ;) Since I might have a newborn by then, I considered ordering a meal from Cracker Barrel...but yeah, it's probably crazy expensive.

Go with two small birds! You can do it!!!! Just delegate and have other people bring a few things. I have an amazing recipe for "Baked Tomatoes" and a Squash Casserole if you need ideas :)

You can do it FOR SURE.

PS- My MIL always does her turkey in one of those huge disposable aluminum pans, and it's always great.

You can do this, get the first one under your belt and it's cake after that. Maybe have people bring some dishes to take the load off, well chairs for sure. You don't need a freezer for the Turkey, you'll just have to buy it a few days before Thanksgiving, it takes those suckers forever to thaw out, but they are easy, just time consuming. STAY AWAY FROM MARTHA STEWART RECIPES...you've been warned, disaster. Good luck, as long as you're with the people you love, it will be great! Oh, I'm coming over too, and bringing chairs. :-)

it will be alright. some of your guest may sit on the couch. and you can get ready-made side dishes and even main dish, and put them on your own serving dishes. they will think you did it, but then otherwise, your guest will just be thankful you have invited them to spend time with your family.

Good luck, Nessa! I'm sure your cooking with be as devine as your photography! I'm doing thanksgiving this year too...we grill our turkey outside, this leaves lots of room in my oven for side dishes. Plus, it gives you the most moist delicious turkey ever! Try it :)
