Celebrate

Breakfast

Gifts

Picnik collage

eat

gelato

This year, instead of a big party,
we did small family things on Friday and Sunday.

And Saturday...
it was just the three (and a half) of us.
It was quiet and perfect.

She ate breakfast on her daddy's lap...
and helped me finish mine.

We played with our new toy...
read some books, lunched and napped.

Headed out to the children's science center to play...
ran into some favorite friends - Harper and Christian.

Went to one of our favorite restaurants for pasta and gelato.
We also went there to celebrate her 1st birthday...
and a whole bunch of other days in between.

We went to the mall play land...
and by that time our Eva-monster was so tired.
She was asking to get in her stroller.

At home we snuggled and stayed up late...
until 8:57 pm to celebrate her exact birthday time...
and tucked her into bed.

You found a great way to celebrate Eva's birthday. I like the focus on quality time together. I envy you. I would love to celebrate my girls' 2nd birthday with just my husband, the girls and me, but my very large family is already talking about what THEY want to do for the birthday party. If I want any say in what happens, I need to start planning now and their birthday isn't until May.
