On a hook in Eva's room, hangs her coming home outfit.
Happy litte pea sleeper and a tiny green hat.
It is really the second outfit she came home in...
from our return visit to the hospital.
But, for me it is the one I remember most.
It was bright and sunny outside and I felt good again.
It was so big on her...
and we thought it was the tiniest outfit ever.
Oh my goodness... look how tiny my monster is!
Yesterday, when I was reading to Eva at nap time...
I looked up and it was hanging right in front of me.
No different than any other day,
but for the first time, it struck me that it would be coming down in a few months.
Getting washed and packed in a bag to take to the hospital...
and bring home another tiny Deedle.
All I could do was smile.

This is so sweet! And congratulations!!!! :-) Thanks for your comment today on my bucket list re: Journalism. Sometimes it's hard to say some of those things "out loud" because I'm afraid I won't reach those goals, but I know that if I don't actually believe in it and start working towards it, that I won't make it happen either. So, saying it out loud is the best first step!
Isn't that a happy feeling? I packed my bag this past weekend, and found the same outfit that the boy came home in...kinda hard to believe, I've got one month left!
