This morning.
Awake in the quiet, while the monster still sleeps.
A cup of coffee.
Read a few pages.
Planned our meals.
Just sitting still.
I should do this everyday.
I am working on it... slowly.
I will probably get it down right before #2 arrives...
that is how these things work, I think.
Today we are packed up and heading north for the weekend.
We have some friends that we miss and we need to fix that.
Have a great weekend.

I go through cycles of having quiet, relaxing time in the mornings, before my girls get up, then time of trying to get a million things done while they're asleep, followed by time when I can't even get my butt out of bed in the morning, unless the girls are awake. I can't seem to settle on a good rhythm. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll get many more mornings like this one, before the little one arrives.
Yes, funny how it comes and goes. I do love my time in the morning, yet even now (with no one clammoring for my attention!) I don't always make it up before the movement and routines of the day must begin. Hope you have a wonderful weekend...I have a lot of nothing planned!
great photo of an ordinary, everyday moment. love it! :)
Enjoy the quiet and your weekend.
Love the picture. And the quiet moment. And how you're using it and enjoying it now. I think that's the beauty in life -- grabbing the moments when they come and really enjoying them for what they're worth.
Thanks so much for linking with Friday Favorite Things today.
Be blessed!

have a great weekend Nessa. I can never resist checking out another Nessa's blog. It just isn't that common of a name! :)
Have a great weekend!
This has been working really well for me, though I admittedly don't do it every day.
I don't know if you saw when I mentioned the Hello Mornings challenge (from Inspired to Action) on my blog the other day, but it happens twice a year, and it's not fun, but great at the same time, ya know ;)
I miss getting up before Aiden and having some quiet breakfast time. I guess it will be easy to fit in with the new baby though.
I love the quiet morning time. I can charge up and get on with a happy day.
Good ole "mama alone time" it's some good stuff, & SO needed.
Such a nice picture depicting some "mommy time."
Your picture tells the story of quiet and serene perfectly. Early morning is such a great time of day.
I love my weekend mornings with my coffee and my computer while Will sleeps away! I just wish I could do it all week! Hope you enjoy your weekend trip!!
Have fun! I think mornings are wonderful. Bravo for planning meals. I really should do that more... learn it now before I start actually being busy :)
sounds like a good idea. I just have to get to bed early enough to beat my early risers!
When I was younger and leaving for work early in the morning I used to see women going for walks and think why on earth would you want to be out of bed that time of the morning if you didn't need too? Now of course I understand exactly the need for alone time. Glad you're getting some of that at the beginning of your days. Hope #2 is going well on the inside.
