28 Days

Four Weeks.

Mr. Theodore...
how can you make my world feel so new, turned around and upside down, but yet...
like it is perfect this way and has been for quite sometime?

You are growing so fast.
You are tipping the scales at just over 10 pounds.

Your eyes are getting lighter...
and since you are awake a little more now, we get to see those baby blues.

You can be a really lazy eater.
There are times where it seems like you are just waiting for it to rain into your mouth.

The two middle of the night feedings are the hardest.
We both want to sleep so desperately...
you fall asleep and stop eating and I fall asleep and stop helping.
It is getting a little better, but it still takes a lot longer than it should most of the time.

You occasionally forget to swallow...
and then try to breath.
You choke and spit milk everywhere...
Amazingly, you barely bat an eye for the choking session.

You can sleep through almost anything.
Which is a good thing for you since your sister can bring the noise.

You like to be contact with a human while sleeping.
Right now you are laying in my lap... little hand on my arm as I type.
I love listening to you snore...

Love Me.

Amazing that it's been a month already. Those midnight feedings were always so tough, I was always so reliant on my boppy just in case I fell asleep...

How can a month pass so quickly?! What a precious little guy you have!

I can't believe he is 4 weeks old! That's do ridiculous. Of course it feels like more than a month since we were there, so maybe it is realistic. Allie talks about feeeodore all the time. She thinks every baby is him now, even girl babies who are a year old. Can't wait to see what he has accomplished when we see him next!
