This is the front of our Christmas card.
When the Christmas Bush was still a Monster, Eva was only happy when she had the lights.
I didn't let her eat them for more than a second... I promise.
The inside reads "May your holidays be merry and bright!"
Cheesy, I know - but so is putting your baby on your holiday card.
I never thought I would be "that parent" that sends out cards and pictures of their child when ever there is an excuse to do so.
At this point, I would send a brag book of her to everyone... regardless if they wanted it not.
Recently, at the library, there was a bonsai show.
I walked around for a little while showing Eva the "pretty trees."
Up until she tried to grab one.
I thought the owner was going to have an aneurism.
I thought the owner was going to have an aneurism.
I was eavesdropping and heard things like:
"She was such a scraggly thing after I first trimmed her."
"My big guy here picked up some mold a few shows ago... I am so glad we are over it now."
"Look how much foliage she has grown over this season"
"She finally bloomed... yep... she did it! Sooner than I thought too!"
"After her limb was infected... it was touch and go for a few weeks."
(Really, I kid you not.)
They were so proud, and so attentive to these little plants.
Some had names even.
There was a contest to get your tree featured in a calendar.
There was a lot of hope to be on the cover.
I get it -----"little tree" growers.
I do.
