A Dragon

Yesterday was a bad day.
Not a day where you look at that clock and think "If I only had one more hour..."

More like a day where you say "I can't believe it is still that early!"
You make it to the end and are glad the torture is finally over...
Surprised you are still standing... alive.

I have seen a lot of monsters...
happy, sad, sick, cuddly, or clingy.
Running through the house, climbing up the walls and excited monster
cuddling with mommy, reading books monster.

But yesterday's was a new one...
tantrum throwing, hysterically screaming, kicking, mommy hitting and breath holding monster.

All day long.

I am sure she would have breathed fire if at all humanly possible.

An angry dragon monster.

My day started innocently enough...
lets take Eva to meet some of her friends at COSI - a children's science museum.

She loves it there...
loved it there.

This picture highlights one of our better moments.

Nice huh?

The rest of the day went along just as the morning.

Except the tantrums where in our house...
and I at least didn't have an audience.

Here are some pictures from out trip last week...
with our excited and happy monster.

a different perspective

Tip: Take more photos when you have a happy monster... less when you have a dragon monster.
Find a new way to look at something... from behind a wall of water perhaps.

I'm sorry Eva had such a rough day yesterday. It was nice seeing you, although for only a few minutes.

Oh man, I'm sorry...those days are the worst!

I totally think I'm going to steal your idea though--calling them "dragon days" would at least make ME smile a little bit!

It's jarring isn't it? That transition from babe to little person. Growing pains, for mama too.
