familiar but different

This picture was taken this morning...
but it has been a real flashback for me.

little man

We have a little man visiting us.
His mommy works with Eva's daddy.

Daycare was not working out.
It was leaving this little man's mommy in tears.

They are moving in a month or two...
so getting on a wait list and going to a new daycare just wasn't going to happen.

So Michael and I decided we could help.

Getting all our little monster's things out of storage was a huge flashback.
Little bouncers, swings, toys and blankets.

Of course all these things were in storage with...
her first outfit home...
first shoes, first dress.
I only got a little teary eyed.

This little man makes things a little different.

I am a little busier.
Okay... I am a lot busier.
I feel like I need an extra hand or two.

But I am enjoying these familiar tiny baby things.
Little coos, snuggles, milk coma and that lamb like infant cry.
Tummy time, kicking legs and that little extra weight in your arms.

Eva kisses his hands and head every chance she gets.
I think we are both fans.

I know exactly what you mean. Every now and then I watch a little baby for a professor who's childcare provider couldn't cover for the day. It takes me back to the days when my own kids were young.
