Working lunch...

A working lunch...

I used to do this all the time.

I would eat at my desk...
chew while checking voicemail...
take phone calls in between bites.

Then there were the infamous lunch meetings.

Trying to talk and eat at the same time.
How do you chew with your mouth closed and talk?
I ordered a lot of soup... seriously.

Trying not to spill food on myself...
that is so embarrassing.
Soup is good for talking... but not for staying clean.

Worse than spilling food on yourself...
there is spilling food on your boss.
Yep, done that too.

I guess I still do a working lunch...

On this occasion...
my boss was running late.
She had trouble getting out of her last meeting.
(Nap time ran over.)

So we had to take lunch on the road.
(Bananas, crackers, milk and stroller.)

We had some VIP's awaiting our arrival.
(Other toddlers and moms.)

There was an important business meeting.
(Library story time.)

With round table discussions.
(Skinn-a-ma-rinky-dink and Where is Thumkin?)

With some breakout sessions to follow.
(A pit stop at the playground.)

Only difference is...
that she got banana in my hair...
and I wasn't embarrassed at all.

Joining: show {off} your shot and
Theme Thursday

I like this shot... because it is what I see when I look down at her.
Just my day to day... at least for right now.

Staying home is definitely reminiscent of going to work! Except it's harder and more fun and rewarding.

such a great post! feels so strange AND so normal comparing my "now" life to my "then" life. how different they are, and yet it's all still mine... my life. :) this is a great picture of a day. but seriously, do you do library and park in one day? i'm impressed! i tend to spread out the fun a little more... but i like the idea of loading up the day with fun outings. should do that more often.
