Weekend

IMG_0630

We are on the road...
just Michael and I.

Heading to Upstate New York...
to watch our lovely friends get married.

Eva is staying with her Nana.

This is our first trip away...
first full 24 hours away...
and we are making it closer to 72.

I am really excited...
spending the weekend just a a couple.

I packed heels...
more than one pair.

My fun makeup is in the suitcase...
You know the evening makeup with lots of shimmer?
Lets hope I remember how to put it on.

I have been getting more and more jazzed as the packing has progressed.
One side of the room is our stuff...
and one side is Eva's.

Then tonight at bed time...
as I rocked that little moster and sang...
I cried a little.

and then, she {snapped}

I couldn't get Eva to look at the camera...
I called and whistled...I got frustrated.

Instead of just taking photos... I was waiting on the perfect one.
But then I decided to love the back of her head and frame up the shot.

You don't have to have a full frontal face shot in every photo.
You don't even have to have a head.

Just take the photo... if you hate, delete it.
Don't wait for the shot or it will never come.

Plus, I love the back of her head.

Now you're getting it, friend. So many precious moments slip by while you're waiting for the perfect shot. Just shoot. Always.

I really like this! I so agree w/ you! The best shots are so un-planned! Those are my favorite.

Have the best time w/ your honey!

I hope you guys had a good time together! And I love pictures of the back of heads. You want to document exactly how things are, right? I think most parents of toddlers see the back of their kid's head the most. Lol
