I am in a constant state of being on the verge of tears...
or the verge of hysterical laughter...
all at the same time.
We came home late last night to a flooded kitchen floor and a wet basement.
The kitchen sink is clogged...
and the dishwasher ran.
Our go-to plumber isn't calling us back...
I can't stand a messy kitchen...
We are out of clean plates and cups.
There are plenty of butter knives though.
I found grilled cheese on my toes yesterday...
2 hours after lunch.
The library book I had reserved and been waiting on...
was ready to be picked up... last week.
I am 15 on the list now.
This is my dining room table...
and it is cleaner than the rest of the house.
It is 3:30 p.m. and I am still in PJ's.
I did brush my teeth, but not my hair.
Reading this over made me laugh...
I guess I am choosing laughter...
the crazy hysterical kind.
Update: Just found strawberry jelly on both legs...
from todays lunch.
I am going to go shower now.

oh how i feel your pain. we all have those days. and thankfully you are taking on the act of laughter instead of complete hysterics! it WILL get better - because at this rate it just HAS to :)
Did you use one of those clean butter knives to scrape the grilled cheese from your toes?
LOVE you Nessa, and I hope your shower was nice and hot.
Arg...how frustrating.
I wish you lived closer so that J could fix your plumbing stuff and at least take that off your plate :(
I'm singing the blues over here...at least you've got reasons and are headed towards laughter! Sorry about the flooding...it's no fun.
Ahh...how crazy. Any time you need a break, Harper and I can come over and hang out for a little while if you just need to get out and get some things done.
If it makes you feel any better, I realized today *after* I got home from the grocery store and home depot that I had peanut butter on one leg and yogurt on the other:)
Hope you got some time to relax along with that shower!
You're half woman, half sandwich.
This post made me laugh. This is life, eh?
