Change

This summer has been a busy one.
Lots of changes and things up in the air.
Really happy times and a few sad too.

All around me, it seems like everything is changing.
Schools starting and summer friends returning to work.

Michael is working late nights and longer hours.
We were certainly getting spoiled with all his time home at the end of his residency.
He was home a lot and we liked that, but he was getting restless.
Now that his fellowship has started, I can see how much he missed being in the hospital.

After all the changes we saw this summer, it is feeling anticlimactic.
In July looking forward I saw things being different than they are now.
Sheriah was here.  We were adjusting and growing.
The days were so busy and chaotic - time just flew right on by.

Now that all the dust has settled, things are almost right back where they started.

Almost.
I am almost the same.

Have you ever just had a feeling that things are still changing when you can't see it yet?
A tingle of anxiety and excitement that makes your heart beat a little faster.

I guess we will see what changes tomorrow will bring.

Yes, I know this feeling, and if you have it Nessa, then something is definitely happening. I really believe that we get little hints about life stuff; I'm excited to see where you are headed, sweet friend!

Yes, I know that tingle feeling you describe so well. Change is hard, yet exciting at the same time.

It's what life is all about - changing, evolving...the cycle.

I can't believe your leaves are changing...we are still in the heat of summer even though the calendar says that fall is on its way.

I just sent my baby to Kindergarten...that's just about enough change for me for the rest of the month ;)
