Toddlers and sharing aren't exactly on the same page.
So when my two favorite toddlers get together...
I expect there to be some squabbling.
After pushing and shoving the days before...
mostly from my monster and a little less from her best friend.
Parents were tired of saying...
Share girls, share.
Eva, stop pushing! Use nice hands.
On day two, Eva stole a book...
and was promptly shoved to the ground and de-booked.
It was a grand moment of retribution and lesson learning.
And on the third day...
the girls shared, without being asked.
And they shared well.
This side-by-side coloring was not a momentary photo opportunity.
Trades were made back and forth on chalk color.
Admiring glaces made at each others squiggles and lines.
There was plenty time for me stop staring and find my phone...
and upgrade to my camera and to change lenses.
Daddies had time to search two floors for real crayons.
They did get find the real crayons.
The girls could have cared less.
I think honestly liked the chalk better.

That's amazing. My twin toddlers are not into sharing. Instead, they fight over toys and now they bite, too. Ack!
so sweet. sometimes it takes me three days to feel like sharing, too:)
Cute! I love that picture. And the chalk :)
I love those moments when you catch your little one being a tiny human ;) we could all take lessons from the interaction between two toddlers!
Cute shot! My daughter used to have friends over. They'd "fight" the whole time...then cry when it was time to go cause they didn't want to be separated. So interesting to watch them learn to share their worlds with others.
Great capture - as in adorable great in the moment capture. Loved your first line in the post. I haven't had the chance to wish a you a happy new year yet, so happy new year, and thank you for the encouraging and kind comments you've left on my blog - all appreciated. Looking forward to seeing your photos, especially of little Evie growing up as we speak.
Great moment! There will be oodles more of this in the future. It's so nice when they can get along and they find their stride. She's growing up!
