Melted

Eva reading.jpg

You threw your bowl at me this morning.
All Done!
Cue hysterical laughter.

Never mind that I was dressed
and then had to change out of the yogurt splattered shirt.
Or that it managed to get in my hair.

After your time-out for throwing food, you came and gave me a big hug.
I sorry Mommy.
Hugs and your big dimpled grin.

Then, you wanted to "see" the baby.
Usually that means you want to play with my belly button and giggle.
Up went the shirt...

Instead, you started singing...
Twinkle Twinkle little star
up so high in the sky....
Twinkle, twinkle in the sky.

I melted into a puddle.

Man, kids know how to get you every time. I mean how could you stay mad at a face like that?
My son will usually cup my face and tell me I am a princess and he wants to marry me:)

Incredible. Children are amazing, even when they're throwing their breakfast bowl (or in my case, handfuls of milk-soaked wheat chex).

We have similar moments here too. They really know how to work us ;) Funny about the belly button my daughter does the same thing.

Oh. She is GOOD! Lol) Funny how after getting yogurt thrown in your face (OR an ENTIRE bottle of baby powder on the ENTIRE kitchen floor) just one sweet dimpled grin (almost)makes you forget!

Heart melted for sure! XO.

Check out those amazing eyelashes on that precious precious baby girl! She's gorgeous, and I have to say, your story is a familiar one around here!

After you melted into a puddle...lemme guess...you weren't in a rush to "change of that outfit" coz it fit and felt quite nice? Glad to hear you can stop and see the sweetness.

Yep, that'll do it. God makes our kids do cute things like that so we can't stay upset with them. Well, not sure if we could anyway, but it does make us smile for sure! Love her hat, too cute.
