Feeling an inch tall

6989327010_c895ca340b_o

The weeks of crying.
Nights of waking up over and over.

Mommy, please, I need you.
Hold you mommy.

All of it was solved with this...
a purple heart nightlight.
The last three nights we have all slept like babies...

It wasn't a toddler trying to drive us crazy.
It was just a monster afraid of the dark.

Oh, the poor monster! I am glad for all of you that you found a solution. Don't feel an inch tall. Feel like a great mama who solved a problem to make her little one happier and feel better.

What a cute nightlight! I'm glad you solved the problem. As a mom, your heart must just break when she's so scared like that.

So sweet. Love the last line...sweet monster. My Chloe has this same fear...sleeps with her bathroom light on now, so just enough light peeps under the door. Where did you find that nightlight?

Oh man, I feel like I dropped the ball on this one, friend. I don't know why it didn't occur to me to ask you about a nightlight because Augusta needs one too. So happy you have settled back into actually sleeping at night. :)

It is funny... I never ever had night lights from mine, right from when they were babies I put them to sleep in the pitch dark. Neither of them have ever been bothered by the dark... and will happily plod about in the night and go for a pee without turning the light on.

DUDE. I need to get me a purple heart nightlife for Jax!Lol) We are having the same problem)

It ALL started when we transitioned from crib to toddler bed... this was a LONG time ago. I've tried everything I can think of. Bribing (that's my go to parenting tip haha), sleeping w/ him until he falls asleep.... he just waits until I get back into my bed & fall asleep... then he makes his move in our room. We bought him a new race car bed... AND even a Lightning McQueen nightlight... NOTHING works!

Yep, a purple nightlight and a shot of Benadryl does the trick every time.
