Fevers and Potties

Eva Allie Potty.jpg

We are sick.
Michael brought home a virus Sunday.
He is such a lovely sharer of things.

The last two days we have spent at home...
drugging it up, cuddling on the couch and watching TV.
Well I only get Tylenol... but ever one else has options.

After the weekend with our friends...
and sharing potty time with her bestie Allie...
Eva started asking to go to the potty.

Today she asked to be naked.
Since we all were feverish and no plans of leaving...
naked she became.

Then... like magic she started going potty on her own.
So we started giving her M&M's.

After 2 days and a larger bag of M&M's...
we have been doing well.

We are still in diapers for nap and bed.
She is still in a crib, so that will be hanging on a while.

There have been just a few accidents...
one during dinner and one during rousing time with play dough.

She has even been stopping on her own running to the potty.
Without me asking her if she needed to go.

The #2 part is still a toughie for her.
She likes to hide...
so she has waited until we have put a diaper on.

Tomorrow we are going to stay close to home again.
Stay naked and see how things go...
Maybe go pick up some big girl undies.

So long as these fevers go away...

Black and White Wednesday and then, she {snapped}    babybabylemon

I hope you are all feeling better today.
As for the potty training, Eva is amazing! After much frustration, my girls are back in diapers, though C still uses the potty to pee. They're so close to ready, but far enough away that it's just not working out.

Gooooo Eva!!! So proud of her! I always think of potty training in steps- yay for step one complete! BMs will come later, no worries.

Awesome! Go Eva! M and ms are apparently the way to go! Allie sat for 3 hours yesterday. Thought she had another uti so I was trying to get a sample. She was patient, I was not! Guess this means we need to buckle down and be nakie for a day too and see what it brings.

Good luck! We have been taking it slowly, but so far the boy hasn't rejected the potty! Keep going strong!

oh dear...really hope you feel better! My mother in law told me naked is the best potty training...I was never "bold" enough to try it, but that's how her four learned!

Hope you guys are much better today. The sickies SUCK.

Yay for the potty progress. That's awesome. I was freaking out, Jax fought me on it for a long time. Everyone said he'll take an interest when he's ready... & sure enough he came around. Though I kinda HATE potty training, it hasn't been too bad.

That is a very cute pic)

Best of luck with potty training. Always a challenge. The adorable thing is they look like they are racing.

Potty training...that was a long, long time ago for me. Good luck. It all falls into place, and then it is over...potty training compete. Love the photo of the 2 little girls on their thrones. It is precious. Loved reading your commentary. It added so much. genie

Sounds exactly like what we are going through. The big girl underwear are key for us because she doesn't like to pee in them, so it helps keep her on the potty. It's kind of sad because it's another step away from babyhood.
