Yesterday, you slept in.
Two hours later than usual.
Mommy really needed that monster, thank you.
These last few nights I have been up and down with contractions.
Two or three here and there that wake me up and make it hard to fall back asleep.
I wanted to make the day one of those great days.
So whatever you wanted to do, we did.
Two different parks.
And hour in the sprinkler...
was all sandwiched around a visit from your Mam and Pop.
I skipped laundry today.
I only cleaned when you were too busy notice.
At bedtime we read until you asked for your song.
I really thought we would be reading for a while,
but the rest of the day caught up to you.
We only managed to read three books before your eyes were closing.
I sang some extra verses.
Your head on my shoulder and little hand on my neck.

Oh, sleeping in - it has started to happen in this house too and I love that! :-)
What a glorious day you carved out for her! I'll be hoping for more late sleep-in's, and contractions that lead to a baby! :)
Extra sleep is so glorious. Love the way you summed up this day, beautiful.
Such tenderness ~ every word and breath of this is lovely. I wondered (when there was no b/w from you at Heidi's yesterday) if you hadn't had an arrival...but I love that you shared such a sweet, simple day with your monster!
Perfection! I adore days like this. May every day be peaceful just as this one day was for you.

What a sweet day! You are one of the lucky mamas who can *see* wide enough to notice that days like this -- where we get nothing done for ourselves -- are the best kind.
I wish you peace (and restful nights)!
This is beautiful! Soaking up this extra time before the little one arrives is most important!
I know you are savoring these precious moments before baby D arrives. Hoping those contractions turn into something more soon ;)
Extra sleep = one happy mama. Beautiful day, Nessa!!
