Thursday and the Weekend

Thursday was our monthly check-up with the doctor. Deedle was good. (Deedle is Michael's name for the little one - it has stuck.) Michael got to hear the heart beat for the first time. In between thumps of kicks to the doppler - its heart rate was 140-150. I was really excited about the kicks.

Our next visit in September is the big ultrasound. I am nervous about it and just want everything to look, measure and sound great.

Michael surprised me with tickets to Cirque du Soleil: Saltimbanco Thursday evening.

It was great. I was expecting a lot - as Michael and I have been drooling and dreaming of going to see a show for years now - and it did not disappoint. The music and costumes alone made the evening - it hinted to Dr. Seuss meets a jazz/rock band. The physical abilities of the performers boggles the mind. Everything they did looked effortless and gravity defying.

We finished off the weekend with a great visit with the Clelands. We took our camera with all intentions of taking pictures - of course we didn't take a single shot. There is always next time.
