Sunshine

An after-nap reading session in our bed with one of her favorite books.
The sun poked out from behind the clouds for a few.

Look mommy... light!
The surprised face of seeing sunshine.
I miss it too monster.

Soon, it will be bright and sunny...
and we will be outside for hours again.
Instead of just a few minutes here and there.

These faces make up for trying to take your own diaper off today.
A really messy, nasty diaper.
There are no photos of that...

must have been something in the air- a kiddo at school made the same attempt. Now every day before nap we rehearse "Don't stick your hand in your diaper, it gets dirty" (and especially don't rub it all over your blanket!)

I love that post-nap-groggy-face-look in the first photo!

Thanks for sparing us the 'other' scene...this one is just heart warming! Even thought it's been such a mild winter, I'm still ready for some steady, strong sunshine.

Such a sweet expressive face, and with one sock on reminded me of my son when he was little--always had one bare foot.

Gosh, this post makes me think, "I can't wait for my baby girl to start talking, so I can hear what she's thinking!"

& since we aren't at the diaper exploration stage yet, I'll LOL about that comment... but I know full well that our time will come & I probably won't be laughing then!

The one sock is classic! It's the story of my life. Ke'alohi is either losing it while she is crawling or I'm losing it in the laundry. I swear our washing machine is eating them.

I LOVE these! That second photo?! Just priceless! I love that you captured the one sock on, one sock off aspect, too. We don't get a lot of sunshine this time of year here in Alaska either. I'm beyond ready for daylight.
