One of the things I dreamt of doing before you were born was teaching you.
Showing you how, what, why.
Watching your eyes light up when we were seeing something new...
something for the very first time.
The surprise, excitement, wonder, and joy of those moments.
Brand new and so exciting.
There are so many firsts.
So many ones we have done, and that are waiting to do.
So many things for us to show you, teach you.
But, I am realizing how much more you are teaching me.
Showing me that it isn't all about firsts...
or even seconds.
You taught me that even on the 100th time we blow bubbles...
that there can be just as much surprise, excitement, wonder, and joy...
if not more, than the very first time.
Making each moment mean more than the last.
Watching the world through your eyes...
I am learning a lot.

that is a really neat bubble blower! where did you get it?
You write it so beautifully; I do find extra joy seeing things through my sons eyes too! :-)
Seriously love reading your writing. I get excited when I see you have a new post. Just perfect :)
We have the gymboree bubble blower too and love it!
There is so much more joy in this world than adults give credit for. Being able to see the simple excitement through the eyes of our children is one of the richest blessings of parenthood. :)
Isn't it so neat to see the world through their eyes? Truly amazing!
That day always comes when we realize that perhaps we dont know everything just because we are the parent.
Awwww, that's so true! What a day it is when we realize that the kids teach us. Man that happens all the time. Must say I love it a little. When they sass you about it that's a different story. I STILL love bubbles!
Aww! So true. :)
And... is it just me, or is her hair getting longer? So adorable! :D
We absolutely love our gymboree bubble blower- it's the best one ever! This post is so beautifully written, I feel the same way.
I cannot get over the cuteness of your little girl! Precious photos. We love bubbles here, too! Oh, those little wondrous moments! :)
